Jesse & Abigail Sickler were both born & raised in the hidden gem of New Jersey, Salem County. While Jesse was raised on a dairy farm and jumped right into starting his own cattle operation with his brother at the age of 21, Abigail continued her education at West Virginia University where she studied Agricultural Science. Though taking different routes, both had a passion for regenerative agriculture & for reaching the needs of the neighboring communities. In 2019, the couple chased their own dreams & took over Abigail's multigenerational farm, Davis Farm - which has now been rebranded & is known as Hidden Creek. Â
ABOUT US
OUR STORY.
WHO WE ARE.
We are farmers, we are husband & wife but most importantly, we are Mama & Daddy. Our littles are with us more times than not & love the business just as much as we do. There is not much that excites them more than feeding up at night, moving chicken tractors & hauling animals to the butcher. At the end of the day, you will most likely find us on our front porch in our rockers, with a cold beer in hand, watching this tiny army get themselves into trouble. On the rare occasion that we get a day off, we enjoy taking the 'scenic route' and finding somewhere good to eat. Â
WE ARE YOUR FARMERS.
At Hidden Creek, we believe that we should always be striving to be better stewards of the land. We often joke, that if it doesn't benefit our soil nutrient analysis, we aren't interested. Currently, we are the 5th & 6th generation to be farming these acres & it is our goal to continue the legacy for generations to come. In order to do that, it takes dedication to minimally impacting the ground. We practice no-till farming, rotational grazing, participate in cover crop initiatives & forest stewardship programs to make sure that we meet that goal. Superior soils lead to superior product.
