How do I place an order?
- Currently, we have multiple ways that you are able to make reservations for shares of pasture raised poultry. One way, being online & the other by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org specifying what you would like to order. We are also available through our social media channels through private messaging.
How long will it take to get my order?
We raise our chickens in small batches May through October & they are available for reserve, first come first serve. When a flock is reaching it's time to be processed, you will see reserves become available on our website with a tentative pick up date. Once the processing date is confirmed, you will receive an email from us letting you know all of the details for your order pick up.
Do you ship?
Currently, we offer pick up and local delivery if the order qualifies. Please contact us to schedule a date/time for either and we will make sure that you are accommodated.
Can I order specific cuts of chicken?
- Yes & no. You have the option to order chicken in either a half or a whole share, with our whole chickens ranging in size from 6-8 lbs. on average. A lot of customers choose to cut up their meat into specific cuts (thighs, breasts, wings, etc.) once they are home. We currently do not have the capacity to do so at the time of processing.
Is your poultry considered to be organic?
- No. Our chicken is NOT certified organic by the terms our government, however, it is raised on sunshine, fresh air, fields of clover & supplemented with non-GMO feed. We will let you look the USDA's definition for certified organic poultry and leave that determination up to you.
WHOLE CHICKEN - $23 PER SHARE
1/2 CHICKEN - $11.50 PER SHARE
***One of our most commonly asked questions is, what is the price of chicken per pound? We do not sell our meat by the pound. Time and time again, we have proven that selling by the entire bird (or half) is better for both the producer & the consumer. On average our whole birds weigh in between 6-8 lbs. If for any reason they weigh in less than expected, we adjust our price for the customer accordingly. In theory, if a customer purchases multiple birds, they are receiving their poultry at the cheapest rate per pound that we can provide. When purchasing pasture raised poultry from the grocery store, the national average is currently $4.99 per pound. With our chickens weighing in between 6 lbs. & 8 lbs. the consumer would be paying $2.80 - $3.80 per pound, which even on the higher side is an entire dollar less than store prices. The more chicken that you buy, essentially the more bang for your buck that you receive.***
