FAQs
How do I place an order?
- Currently, we have multiple ways that you are able to make reservations for shares of pasture raised poultry. One way, being directly in store (upon opening) & the other by sending an email to abigail@hiddencreekfarmnj.com specifying what you would like to order. We are also available through our social media channels through private messaging. If there is available poultry left after harvest preorders, the chickens will be for sale at the farm market.
How long will it take to get my order?
-
We raise our chickens in small batches of 300 through a six week rotation May through October. They are available for reserve, first come first serve. When a flock is reaching it's time to be processed, you will see reserves advertised through our social media channels & email marketing. Once the processing date is confirmed, you will receive an email from us letting you know all of the details for your order pick up. However, if there are chickens that have not been reserved, they will be available at the farm store, frozen, for your convenience.
Do you ship?
-
Currently, we offer pick up and local delivery if the order qualifies. Please contact us to schedule a date/time for either and we will make sure that you are accommodated.
Can I order specific cuts of chicken?
- Yes & no. You have the option to order chicken in either a half or a whole share, with our whole chickens ranging in size from 6-8 lbs. on average. A lot of customers choose to cut up their meat into specific cuts (thighs, breasts, wings, etc.) once they are home. We currently do not have the capacity to do so at the time of processing.
Is your poultry considered to be organic?
- No. Our chicken is NOT certified organic by the terms our government, however, it is raised on sunshine, fresh air, fields of clover & supplemented with non-GMO feed. We will let you look the USDA's definition for certified organic poultry and leave that determination up to you.
