How We Raise Our Cattle

With our regenerative applications to raising livestock & farming, our beef herds' primary diet is directly off of our land through rotational grazing methods. Multispecied cover crops spread across our chemical-free pasture fields & provide a nutrient-dense diet to our herd. During our "green" months, our cattle are rotated to fresh pasture daily, giving back to our land more than they are taking from it.

As their time on the farm comes to an end & their trip to our USDA butcher approaches, our cattle are given a homemade "breakfast and supper" grain ration to finish. This gives our meat beautiful marbling and deep flavor profiles that keep our customers coming back for more.

Our Farming Practices

You started asking questions about your food for a reason: where it came from, how the animals were raised, what they were fed, and whether the label can be trusted. We built this farm so that when you shop with us, every one of those questions has an answer you can trust.

At Hidden Creek, every animal is raised on our own pasture in Salem County, NJ. Our animals rotationally graze each acre of the farm, which keeps the pasture healthy, the soil improving, and the animals eating fresh ground on a regular cycle - the way they were built to. We don't source from other farms, and we don't have a supply chain long enough to lose track of anything. When you ask us how your food was raised, we can tell you, because we were there for every step of it.
